That is an auditable institutional memory from day one. As models improve, they can re-read the same verified record—re-evaluating past events, catching what earlier models missed, and learning inside a Canadian policy and legal framework rather than outside it. The system does not start over with each mission. It builds on everything that came before.
What it does not do

It does not process raw sensor feeds.
Sonar, RF, radar and full-motion video stay with the domain systems built to interpret them. ChainSmart AI reasons over the structured outputs those systems produce.
It does not interpret video.
Video and complex media are stored encrypted, cryptographically hashed and chained as evidence, linked to human observations and metadata—preserved for re-evaluation as AI capability advances, not analysed today.
It does not replace existing systems.
Sensor processors, C2 and intelligence tools stay in place. ChainSmart AI sits above them as the trusted decision chain, not as another platform demanding replacement.
